James #5 Bday 12-12-09

Opening presents is always crazy... I'm not quite sure what everyone brought, but I'm sure James knows!

Instead of "pin the tail on the donkey" it was "pin the knife on the apple" (there is an apple on the top of her head). From the placement of knives you can tell who was cheating and who wasn't.

This was our craft - reindeer Christmas tree ornaments.
Going through the pinata loot. I didn't mean to put that much candy in there - mostly just plastic toys... I kept finding all of these candy wrappers everywhere - I'll probably be finding candy wrappers weeks from now ;).

Nicole saved the day and busted open the treasure box pinata. It was a difficult task - the pinata was partially constructed with duct tape!
Kind of hard to hit the pinata holding a loot bag, but he was still able to get a couple good swings in.
Autumn's attempt was more of a poking then a hitting... You can always tell who would make great baseball players during pinata time - Crystal wins hand-down for best pinata hit.
Most of the bunch - a good turnout considering it's the crazy Christmas season of the year!
Arrrrrrrrrghhh me maties!

Autumn the Christmas Elf

We got one of those cloths lots from KWYS and this was in it, Autumn loves it. It goes great with her pink rain boots (that she also loves) and the tights that Nammy sent with the Christmas outfits. Soft and snuggy - she's going to want to wear this one all the time! (Unlike Heather, Autumn is into pink, princess, dress up stuff - she also likes to wear James' church ties for some reason.)

Let it Snow, Let is Snow, Let is Snow!!!

In the back yard. Luckily I had just picked up a couple of coats on KWYS :)

Strange thing - see how all of the other yards are covered in snow (behind James). It did not stick to our yard.

We must have had too many trees for it to stick on our yard? It was fun anyways, great big fluffy snowflakes, a rare sight to see in Houston!

Christmas time!

Marc took some better picts, this is what we got of them in the outfits Nammy sent. autumn really really wanted to wear her pink rain goloshas - we talked her out of it, but just barely :)

Galveston

We went to Galveston on Friday after Thanksgiving, into the aquarium moody gardens pyramid, then to the Rain Forest Café for lunch, and the beach. It was a little cold/cloudy, but the kids were still able to play in the water a bit.
